Jumpstart San Francisco is a local affiliate site of Jumpstart for Young Children, Inc. Housed at San Francisco State University,  Jumpstart pairs highly-trained college students with preschool age children struggling in early learning programs for one-to-one tutoring in school readiness skills.

The Jumpstart program recruits, trains and pairs San Francisco State University Students and San Francisco City College students with preschool children struggling in early learning programs.  Throughout the school year and a special summer program, college students help preschool children develop the skills needed to be successful in school.
